      <image:caption>An untranslatable Spanish word (pronounced so-bray-may-sah) that defines the time spent around the table after a meal, talking to the people you shared it with; time to digest and savor both food and friendship; a time of slowness and connectivity, for intimate conversation, indulgence, and living life in community with others. It is a mindset, a lifestyle, an understanding that the best moments in life happen organically but with intention, and that good, nourishing food connects us all. I am on a mission to heal people’s relationship with food so that they can experience the true connection that can happen around it when you can be fully present around food. Food is there to serve you, to nourish you, to keep you satisfied and healthy. It is not there to stress you out, to measure, count, and especially not to make you skip dinner plans with your favorite people. I believe that healthy living is much more than dieting. In fact, I don’t believe in dieting at all. Because it is only when you can finally release yourself from always being halfway “on a diet” that you can allow for Sobremesa to take place, that you can focus on the love and connection that your food is trying to bring you.</image:caption>
